The Hermitage is a small comfortable guest house by the River Nidd in the market town of Knaresborough.

Home Farm, Stone
Home Farm has been occupied by our family for over a century. Over the past few years the farmhouse has been modernized so the majority of guest rooms have private facilities.
Situated a few yards away in our village are Swynnerton’s two churches standing shoulder to shoulder separated only by the width of the road in distance but by seven centuries in time. These two churches were necessary in the village reflects the troubled period of the 16th and 17th centuries when the Fitzherberts, strong protectors of the old faith kept it alive in the area.
We are located within easy reach of many great places to walk, see the many beauty spots around and other places of interest. Lying approximately 5/6 miles from the potteries and the Gladstone Pottery Museum, it is near to Barlaston where you can find Wedgewood Factory. Here we also have easy access to the M6 and Trentham Awakes on is on our doorstep while the Manifold and Dove Valleys are only half an hour away by car.
Alton Towers, Chester Zoo and the West Midland Safari Park are within easy travelling distance also.
