Rambo Eat Your Heart Out - My Safari Story
The headline is not at all meant to be obscure; this is a true story of what happened to me whilst I was on safari. It all began around Christmas time 2007 I said to myself that I actually need to go on a proper holiday something that would give me a lot more satisfaction then just sitting in the sun, drinking and going for a dip.
So I decided to look through a brochure and I came across some amazing safari holidays. They were a bit out of my price range as I only worked part time, but I had to go this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that I was not going to miss for the world. So I saved up my money and paid off for this adventure.
The months leading up to summer flew by and I was soon on my way to my Kenya holidays. When the jet finally landed a selection of us were taken by jeep to the location. The night was near sowe decided to camp down and start a fire. The tour day cam by pretty quickly and I saw some amazing sights and animals along the way.
Well night fell again and we all camped down and boy was this a night to remember. I was fast snoozing and we all got woken up by a loud trumpet. We unzipped the tent and there was about two gigantic elephants heading straight for us. Everyone got shocked I had to take a stand I quickly got them all out of the huts and we headed straight for high lands. It was like something out of Godzilla. I showed them all the direction to safety and would do it again in a moment. If you are looking for a great trip then go on a safari holiday.

Hawaii is an island only visited by the orivileged few. It is an island that invites you simply because there is so little you have seen about it. So when you get the chance planning for Hawaiian vacations will probably be a very exciting time. Although not going to be an easy task, planning for Hawaiian vacations can be made more possible. Research is needed as to which are the best places to stay, to see and the best ways to travel about in the island you wish to visit (there are six islands, each with a different sites to see), and the earlier you buy the flight ticket the better.

The dream of white sandy beaches, blue-green seas and the perfect place to unwind after the stresses of the city is just a few of the expectation visitors have. There is also the exposure to the country’s amazing culture that is one to look forward to. Booking a hotel room or condo early is a good idea when planning Hawaiian vacations. Again research will probably help you find the best deal with just the right amount of all the luxuries you are looking for.
A vacation in Hawaii is for anyone, from honeymooners to families. Any taste will definitely be catered for. Even thought he beach is the biggest attraction in Hawaiian vacations, there are other historical and cultural sites that need to be visited as well. As there are six islands, the first step would be to find out what the specific attraction for each is, and then find out how to go about visiting or sightseeing there. For example in Big Island, there are many places that families can visit like the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the Atlantis Submarine Kona or the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden. Advice For Selecting The Right Kind Of Luggage When Traveling Away On Business
Frequent travelers often both love and hate their luggage. While most people do not like having to carry around our luggage there are some things we need to bring with us when we travel in order to remain comfortable. Many people find that using a folding luggage cart makes traveling easier to handle.
One of the most difficult things about luggage is the tough decisions we need to make while packing. There are so many of our things that it seems impossible to live without that it often seems like we are packing up the whole house for even a short trip. We often compound our problems by purchasing new items during our travels. There are so many of us who find something we must have while traveling but it loses its appeal as you lug it around in your luggage.
You can manage all your luggage much more efficiently by using a folding luggage cart. Folding luggage carts make in much simpler to get your luggage though a large airport or crowed city street. Most airlines these days have no problem with you bringing on your luggage cart as well as your usual carryons. People who frequently carry on a heavy bag will find a folding luggage cart indispensible.
Most folding luggage carts allow you to pull at least two pieces of luggage which makes them a great choice for couple traveling together. Purchasing a folding luggage cart is an inexpensive alternative to buying luggage with integrated wheels. The best folding luggage carts will have strong wheels, step sliders, and a wide platform on which to place our luggage.
You should consider how you travel when selecting a folding luggage cart. Those who travel light will want a high quality yet light folding luggage cart for most of their travels. Those who are carrying heavy loads or need to be able to navigate stairs will most likely need a more heavy duty model which features large wheels and step sliders.

Exciting Family Holidays in Poland for Less
Are you planning to spend family holidays in Poland but are worried about the expenses? True, traveling abroad can put a strain on your budget but don’t cancel the trip just yet. You can still enjoy a memorable vacation in Poland even if you don’t have a huge budget. You just have to learn a few tricks on how to save on your trip.
For starters, on your trip to Poland, book a cheap car hire to get around instead of booking packaged tours from your travel agent. It’s not just more affordable, but it also allows you to save on shopping, dining and lodging expenses.
Driving a rental car means you’ll get to enjoy your vacation in Poland more, too, since you can follow your own schedule and itinerary. This, in turn, means you can have more time to appreciate each of Poland’s World Heritage Sites, along with other historic towns. You can also get to have more wonderful memories with your family.
You can also save on your family holidays in Poland by not staying at a hotel. Rather, spend the night in a private room, a pension house or an apartment for rent. These offer much more affordable rates than hotels. You can opt to stay at a hostel, too – if you can tolerate the curfew or share the floor with school groups, that is.
Also, consider eating at out-of-the-way cafes or looking for milk bars (don’t worry, they serve more than milk) rather than dining in the restaurants you see on your guide. You’ll get a taste of the Polish cuisine along with a more unique dining experience.
Shopping is part of every trip, and is therefore bound to be a part of your family holidays in Poland. To save, skip the stores in Warsaw and buy your souvenirs in quaint little shops away from the city proper. You’re guaranteed to find better trinkets to bring home with you while enjoy better bargains.
Last but not least, try not to schedule your trip to Poland during the peak season, particularly July and August. During these months, it will be harder to find cheap accomodations. You’ll have to find your way through crowds at the tourist attractions, too.
So, what are you waiting for? Book your family holidays in Poland and look forward to the experience of a lifetime. Cutting down on expenses doesn’t mean cutting down on the fun, after all. As long as you get to spend time with your family in one of the best tourist destinations in the world, you’re still bound to have a journey to remember.

Playa Del Carmen: The hottest vacation spot in Mexico
Playa Del Carmen, Mexico is established in the State of Yucatan. You’ve never experienced another place like Playa Del Carmen. Don’t let its size fool you, this region is not large, but it has a lot to offer. As the only other major city in the state, Playa Del Carmen is very different from Cancun. The weather is perfect year round. It’s not too busy and yet has most everything. In short, it’s been a wonderful place to live while the rest of Mexico sells out for tourists. For example, Playa Del Carmen has approximately 5% of the hotel rooms of Puerto Vallarta to the north.
The typical temperature is 80 °F for this region. It is on the same latitude as Hawaii, so it gets similar weather. Really it is the best weather on the coast, cooler than Acapulco, and less humid than Puerto Vallarta. The ocean scene in Playa Del Carmen is among the best, the people are so friendly, plenty of beautiful beaches to play on for your children, and the night clubs are hopping, if you go for that.
Most of the visitors to Playa Del Carmen are from Canada. One-third of the tourists are American, the other two-thirds are Canadian. Nicknamed the ‘anti-PV,’ Manzanillo strives for peaceful tranquility, and it shows. Returning to places is always nice as they frequently recall the last time you came, and give you a warm greeting. You feel like you did your part as they are honestly happy to have you come to their establishment. Nobody is overly eager to turn the city into another tourist trap destination. A feeling which is a shared desire of the locals, who, it is reported, have for many years been reluctant to accept federal funds targeted at developing tourism in the area. Playa Del Carmen remains true to it’s roots.
Maybe, though, you are traveling with a family. What then? Well you could always try out an all inclusive resort. Crafted to make you forget about your problems and enter another world, these resorts can be a great choice. Oahu Places To Visit
The Honolulu International Airport every year receives millions of eager visitors who are keen to start their much-awaited vacation. Soon after landing, most visitors hop in a cab or bus sent from the hotel and begin the journey past downtown Honolulu and on to their reservation at a Waikiki hotel. It won’t take long to discover why Waikiki is so popular when you see all the busy streets and marvel at the history contained here. The excitement of discovering Waikiki is so intense that most visitors never escape its imaginary borders. This area is only approximately two square miles but it is amazing how it captures visitors attention so that most miss parts of the island that the locals find so wonderful.
If you are thinking of visiting Oahu then you should find this interesting.
Magic Island Beach Park – Located just opposite to the Ala Moana Shopping Center, this is a very popular attraction lying west of Waikiki. The things that you would find in this park include two beaches, a 3-mile stretch of jogging path and tennis courts, and more. This is a favorite spot for locals too and it is quite usual to see large families gather to eat with each other, enjoying the beautiful weather and their own company.A walk around the park will expose the center of Hawaiian culture – people with large extended families gather around hibachis, spending the day together with a good food and plenty of sun.
The Contemporary Museum Honolulu – This small museum is located high on a ridge at Makiki Heights Drive and the drive up the ridge offers amazing vistas that would otherwise be missed by most Oahu visitors. The changing exhibits in this small museum spread across its 5 galleries could be an enthralling experience, and after this you could walk into gardens full of sculptures. Although many people visit the museum, it is the wonderful gardens that offer the exquisite views of the island and set in three and a half acres, they are open to everyone.
Leong’s Cafe – Many visitors look to a lu’au for more than entertainment especially when they are after some great Hawaiian food.Leong’s Cafe (along North king Street) can offer this type of experience and is a fantastic place to go if you want to experience the true taste of Hawaiian food. Some of the dishes, which keep the customers coming back, include kalua pig, lu’au stew, lomi lomi and more and as incredible as it may sound, this place is visited both by locals as well as tourists, for over 50 years.
Champion Malasadas – The local treat called Malasadas are so popular that Fat Tuesday has been re-christened Malasada Day throughout the Hawaiian Islands. The bakery that goes by the name ‘Champion Malasadas’ can be found along South Berertania Street, it is the most famous throughout the island. These light Portuguese hole-less donuts come with and without filling and are absolutely worth the effort in getting them!
Honolulu Chinatown – A walk through the streets of Chinatown in like a walk into another time and place. This is like being in a small part of China where you can obtain anything you would expect to find in the mainland Country. The things, which you get in these shops and streets, are impossible to get in any American grocer back home. While many visitors take guided tours, it is just as easy (if not more so) to wander through the streets, taking in the atmosphere and stopping whenever you feel the need.
In case you are keen to enjoy Oahu the way a local does, spend more time outside Waikiki.Explore all or some of the points of interest as mentioned above and you would know why Hawaii is called a paradise on earth. If you like this article you can check out best places to travel in the world.

To the tower with ye! London’s five top attractions
Down in london for the weekend on work and dont really want to spend all the time around the London conference venues? London has loads to see- as we point out below.
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4
- The london eye- A modern day version of Vienna’s Prater ferris wheel which stands opposite parliament and dominates the river skyline. Jump into a cab and see a spectacular view of the city. Check the weather forecasts, as the gloomy days can sometimes spoil the landscape view your given when your up there, and when its hot the temperature in the capsule can be unbearable. Down for maintenance at the beginning of the year.
- Big Ben -a contender for Britain’s most well known landmark. Big ben has never been open to the public to look inside but if your near parliament go and have alook. There are cells within the tower clock which are reserved for members of parliament, which havent been used since 1880 -given the Britains financial state, maybe we should look at bringing them back…..
- Buckingham palace- the official residence of Her majesty queen Elizabeth II, it became the official royal palace when Queen Victoria ascended to the throne. The palace can be viewed by the public since its owned by the nation. Daily during the summer and every other day during the winter. There’s the changing of the guard to see in the forecourt and the palaces state rooms, which have been available to view since 1993 in August and September.
- The tower of London -Once a fortress, a palace and a prison, the tower reisides on the north bank of the river Thames. Serving as a place of execution, armory, the royal mint and since 1303, the home of the crown jewels. Just dont get locked in.

Save Money on Travel Expenses
Everybody is looking for ways to save a few dollars or a few pounds these days. If you are travelling for business or pleasure there are lots of opportunities to save some valuable cash.
Many travellers are, surprisingly, completely unaware of how much they could save by pre-booking. Here are just a few of the more common expenses that you may encouter on your trip:
- Car Hire
- Hotels
- Excursions
- Airport Parking
- VIP Airport Lounges
- Tickets for Events
This is only a summary list but it serves to highlight my point which is that you can save money on all of these services by anticipating what you need and then booking in advance.
For example, hiring a car. You may be completely unaware that you can book your car hire before leaving home by going online and checking out the prices offered by various car hire companies.
Hotels are well known for charging their full room prices to those who simply turn up at the door. If you take the time to do a little research you can often get a fantastic discount deal, saving you over 50% of the regular cost of the same room. What’s more, there are often un-advertised bargains that you will only find out about if you enquire in advance. And some airport hotels even provide airport parking as part of their package. This might even save you enough to pay for your hotel room.
If you do need an airport parking space turning up at the airport without pre-booking would be foolish. Firstly, there is never a guarantee that you will find any parking spaces and secondly, booking in advance will give you savings of up to 60%.
If you are off on your holidays or headed off for a business trip I urge you to take a little time predicting what you will need and then shopping around for the best deal. Luckily there are some fantastic web sites around that take all the hard work out of finding the best deal. Gosimply.com provide such a service, comparing the prices, facilities and the impartial customer reviews provided for UK airport hotels, parking facilities and worldwide car hire and lounges.
These days it takes only a few clicks of the mouse to save some serious money.
